NetPulse – Live Internet Speed Monitor

🔒 We collect zero personal data

Last updated: 07 August 2026

Overview

NetPulse ("the Extension") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information the Extension does and does not collect.

In short: NetPulse does not collect, store, sell, or share any personal information.

Information We Collect

NetPulse does not collect any personally identifiable information. Specifically, the Extension does not collect or transmit:

How the Extension Works

NetPulse measures your internet connection speed by performing lightweight network requests to a measurement endpoint. This process calculates your download and upload transfer rates only. Your current speed is displayed on your browser toolbar — shown in green for healthy speeds and red when speed drops below 1 Mbps — and is not logged, stored on any server, or shared with any third party.

Local Storage

Any preferences you set (such as display units or refresh interval) are stored locally on your own device using Chrome's storage API. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us or any third party.

Third-Party Services

NetPulse does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer any user data to outside parties — because we do not collect any.

Children's Privacy

NetPulse does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last updated" date.
